Statement of Purposes
AIMS AND OBJECTIVES.

  • To provide services i.e.; self help, counselling and support and respite by and for people who have a mentally ill parent. Reduce Stigma and Social Isolation.
  • Establish linkages between adults and adolescents and children who have a mentally ill parent(s).
  • Develop a network of members across Australia.
  • Inform government and the community of the existence and needs of People (children adolescent adult) who have a mentally ill parent and share developments in each state.
  • Work in cooperation with existing relative /family/carer/ support organisations.
  • Advocate for (members) children, adults and adolescents who have a mentally ill parent re health, social and family welfare services, justice and legal systems, bureaucratic organisations/structures and psychiatric services.
