Arthur Freeman was suffering from a major depressive disorder and possible psychosis when he threw his daughter Darcey off the West Gate Bridge, a defence psychiatrist says.

Professor Graham Burrows told a Melbourne jury he believes Freeman was severely dissociated and "didn't really know what was going on" when he threw Darcey off the bridge on January 29, 2009.
