On 24 October 05 the Prime Minister Mr John Howard wrote to NNAAMI and stated,

"I congratulate you on your efforts to provide social and emotional support to children young people and others who have a mentally ill parent. Community initiatives such as your website and online forum for people to share their stories provide valuable support."

In reply to NNAAMI on 24 July 06, Mr John Howard wrote to NNAAMI and stated the following,

"Organisations such as NNAAMI which have a track record in web based services for young people in mental health are likely to be eligible to apply for funding…"

... and he requested NNAAMI contact Mr Nathan Smyth Assistant Secretary Mental Health Branch.
